I don't have a alt key what is the equiva… - Apple Community Still, by switching ALT-F12 or whatever the shortcut for the contextual menu was, with CTRL-return and CTRL-return for CTRL-fn-return, Apple forces both groups to unlearn / relearn key combos. I don't see the benefit in that. Everyone who uses shortcuts knows it's very hard to unlearn / relearn them.
I recently bought a "Redragon Draconic K530 Pro" keyboard and mapped the keys using keys modifier settings, but after that, The windows key that should work as " option " key isn't working. Before mapping, the ALT key was working fine just like option. IF the keyboard has a charging cable, plug it back into the back of the Mac and restart . Otherwise you will need any USB keyboard, you cannot start in Recovery Partition without a keyboard as it needs a keyboard combination to startup!
